At Decathlon, we don't just consider the intrinsic quality of the component (in this instance, a fabric with a 20,000 Schmerbers rating) but we also test the waterproof qualities of the finished product in an environmental chamber reproducing different precipitation levels. This hat will protect you from a 12 cm rain shower for 2 hours, or 60 L of water per hour and per square metre: quite a downpour!
